Slavic Interest Group Mailing List

List Information
The SIG List provides a discussion of the history and culture of the Medieval Slavic and Eastern European world. We are aimed specifically towards members of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) with Slavic, Central Asian, and Eastern and Central European personas, but we provide information and resources to anyone.

Anything relating to pre-1650 Slavic, Central Asian, Eastern European or Central European history, or anything Slavic, Central Asian, Eastern European or Central European as it pertains to the SCA is welcome here.

This discussion list can sometimes generate heavy traffic. If you are worried about your mailbox being flooded, subscribe to the digest.

The following is NOT permitted on this list:

  • Personal Flamewars
  • My Ethnic Group (is better than your ethnic group | can kick your ass | etc)
  • UCE (Unsolicited Commercial Email)and SPAM

    To subscribe to SIG go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sig/ and follow the directions on the page. You can also fill out your email address in the following form, then click on the purple button:

    Using either method, you will receive a confirmation email from YahooGroups. If you wish to post and read messages from SIG, you must reply to this message!!!

    Because the SIG List is moderated and has a "closed membership," one of the moderators will ned to approve your subscription. This may take a day or two, so please be patient. This is only to cut down on the amount of Spam sent to the List, not to restrict membership in any way.

    Managing your subscription via the web
    Go to the YahooGroups web site, at http://www.yahoogroups.com and sign in. Enter your email address and the password YahooGroups gave you when you registered. This menu will let you unsubscribe and change your subscriptions between digest and normal mode, among other functions.

    Send a blank (no message or subject) email from the account you will be using to post from to the appropriate address below:
